Try Scuba is an orientation to diving that allows non-divers to experience diving, under direct supervision of a dive leader, with a minimal amount of instruction and classroom time. There is no certification that comes with this, but this is to show non-divers what scuba is like.
Price: $150 per person.
I just don't issue certification cards but make properly trained scuba divers. I hold a no pressure and thorough class, because you have paid good money to get trained and not just to receive a certification card. My instructional program is geared to your comfort zone and exceeds any agency's standards.
I also understand that just taking a class is not enough to become comfortable underwater and become proficient with scuba skills. That is why I encourage former students to come back to dive with other Open Water Classes during the Open Water dive weekend to become more comfortable and to become better at basic scuba skills.
PREREQUISITES: Students must possess basic swimming skills & the desire to have a GREAT time! Must be at least 15 years of age.
I PROVIDE: Buoyancy Compensator (BC), air delivery system, weight belt, and tanks. Also included in your course fee is an Open Water Certification Card.
YOU PROVIDE: Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Dive Boots, Dive Watch, and Slate.
DO NOT purchase any gear until you have met with your instructor for a precounseling appointment!

Since this is a dive leader course, we will not offer this course in a one or two week format. This course will take around 4 months, because we believe as a dive leader you need to be very knowledgeable about every aspect of SCUBA and teaching SCUBA. You will be required to assist with at least two Open Water Classes. By assist, we mean you are there for the entire course of the class.
I believe in making qualified dive leaders and not just issuing certification cards. I refuse to send unqualified dive leaders out into the SCUBA community to teach and watch over other scuba divers. This is why my Dive Master program is so long, in some instances it might be shorter depending on the experience and skills of the candidate.
